William H. "Bill" Silvers, 72, of Lititz, died Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at the Essa Flory Hospice Center. Born in Clayton, NJ, he was the son of the late Stanley and Virginia Steelman Silvers. He was the husband of Lucina Miranda Silvers for 19 years.

A graduate of Albright College, Bill had been a physicist in the engineering department of RCA. He was a member of the Lancaster Canoe Club and was a SCCA race car driver. A lover of pipe organ music, he used to build pipe organs. Bill enjoyed travelling and experiencing other cultures.

Surviving in addition to his wife Lucina are 6 children, Thomas Silvers, Lititz, John, husband of Deb Silvers, Bradenton, FL, Michael, husband of Lisa Silvers, Salisbury, MD, Jeffrey, husband of Stacey Silvers, Wilmington, DE, Laura, wife of Memo Raineri, Lancaster, and Nancy, wife of Peter Wilde, Eugene, OR; 11 grandchildren, Johnny, Amanda, Jessica and  Morgan Silvers, Trinity and Clover Meyer, Anna, Gianni and Andre Raineri, Rhowan Dacotah and Henry Wilde; and his sister Phyllis Gallucci of Buena, NJ. Bill was preceded in death by his sister Caroline Haegle.

A Memorial Service will take place 6 PM Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Jr. Home & Crematory, Inc., 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private. Please omit flowers.
