William C. "Bill" Overly, 84, of Lancaster, died Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late William Charles Overly and S. Elizabeth (Shirk) Overly. Bill was a lover of the outdoors and especially enjoyed golfing, deep sea fishing, and spending time at Beach Creek Hunting Camp in Karthaus, PA, where he was a member. He was also a member of the 8th Ward Club. In his younger years, Bill was an avid bowler. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. Bill is survived by 2 sisters: Nancy L. Kauffman and her husband Levi S. of Millersville, and Mary E. Miller and her husband Daniel F. of Lancaster; 2 nephews, and one niece. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 N. George St, Millersville, with Pastor John Rieker officiating. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Riverview Burial Park, Lancaster. Kindly omit flowers.
