IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Wayne S.
Siegrist
May 31, 2024
Wayne S. Siegrist, 72, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2024at his home in Lititz, PA.
Wayne was born in Lititz, PA on December 31, 1951, and graduated from Warwick High School. Wayne was many things, a born farmer, a skilled stonemason, a doting father, and a collector of copper antiques. He enjoyed spending time hosting friends and family and building his castle on "The Farm". All of the stonework done at The Farm was designed and built by Wayne himself.
Wayne's generosity and gentle nature touched all who knew him. His soft spot for animals eventually turned the Farm into a sanctuary for cats and birds including an aviary for peacocks, turkeys, chickens, and pheasants welcoming all to the Farm. One of his many contributions to the community was a donation of land for the Veteran's Park. Wayne was a pillar of the Lititz community and dedicated his life to creating a place that brought together family and friends year after year.
Wayne was predeceased by his mother and father, Raymond and Elizabeth Siegrist, and brother Michael Siegrist. He is survived by his daughter Haylee Laske (Ryan), mother of his daughter Dee Gross, his sisters Mary Ann Cargen, Kathy Esbenshade (Mark), his brother Raymond Siegrist, nephews Bryan Ziegenfuse (Elizabeth), Kevin Esbenshade (Allison), nieces Emily Rogers (Brian), Megan Buren (Paul) and many relatives and friends that loved him.
A viewing will be held at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike, on Friday June 7, 2024 from 10am-12pm with services starting at 12pm. Burial will follow at Witness Park Cemetery. We welcome all who knew him to join us in celebrating the life of a man who was loved deeply and will be missed by not only his family and friends, but the whole town of Lititz.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Lititz Public Library, which was built on land donated by Elizabeth "Betty" Siegrist.
