Wayne S. Moyer, 65, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Hospice and Community Care in Mt. Joy. He was the husband of Mary L. Strepay Moyer, with whom he shared 40 years pf marriage this past July 19th. Born in Sellersville, PA, he was the son of the late A. Merril and Doris Gennaria Moyer. Wayne had been the sales manager at Susquehanna Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Wrightsville. Prior to this, he was the sales manager at Brubaker Chrysler Jeep in Lancaster. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Lititz. Wayne was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 12532 and was a 4th Degree Knight Santa Maria Assembly 915. Wayne volunteered in the Pastoral Care Department at Lancaster Regional Medical Center and was part of the Communion service team at Lancaster Hall. Wayne enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and friend. In addition to his wife, Wayne is survived by his two children: Melanie married to Nathan Rowe of Ephrata and Matthew married to Jessica Moyer of Casa Grande, AZ; his two grandchildren Benjamin and Waylon; and by his siblings: Steven married to Carolyn Moyer of Easton, Dennis married to Lynne Moyer of Shillington, Deborah married to Keith Martin of Clarion and Glenn married to Hazel Moyer of Spain. Friends will be received on Friday, Sept. 4, 2015 from 6:30-9PM at the Charles F. Snyder Jr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA, with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 8:30PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015 at 10AM at St. James Catholic Church, 505 Woodcrest Ave., Lititz, PA 17543. Friends will be received again at the church following the Mass. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Wayne's memory to the Impact Catholic Youth Group at St. James Catholic Church at the above address, or to the Ann Barshinger Cancer Institute, James and Sally Saxton Clinical Pastoral Educational Endowment, LGH Health Foundation, Box 3555, Lancaster, PA 17604.
