Walter H. Roberts, 95, of Lititz, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 12, 2012 at Luther Acres, Lititz.

Born in Quarryville, he was the husband of the late Dorothea (Gates) Roberts, who passed away February 29, 2012.  They had been married 64 years.  He was the son of the late Alvin and Anna Frackman Roberts Howe.

During WWII, he served in the Army for one year, Navy for nine months, and the Air Force from 1943 to 1958, where he flew in the 40 ^th bomb group 45 ^th squadron.  He served in the Air Force reserves from 1958 to 1963, when he retired as a Major.  After his active duty military career, he worked in civil service as a procurement officer.

Walter will be remembered by many as a kind, gentle man who helped others whenever he could.

He is survived by two sons:  Darrell Roberts and Ronald Roberts, husband of Judith; two grandchildren:  Dominica and Eric Roberts; a brother, William Howe, and a sister, Winifred Reinhardt.

Memorial services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA with Rev.
