Walter T. Hynicka, 93, formerly of Manheim, PA, passed away in Berlin, PA on Monday, June 18, 2012.

He was the husband of the late Henrietta J. Geopfert Hynicka, who passed away in 2004. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Harry T. and Nellie Gast Hynicka.

Walter had been the owner of Commercial Interior Design for 25 years.

A US Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, he served in the European Theater as a Corporal and radio mechanic and operator.

He enjoyed woodworking and bird-watching.

Walter is survived by his son, Walter L. of Lititz and his daughter Sharon M. ,married to John M. Peffer Jr of Lititz; his 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and his 3 great great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Richard H., married to Ann Hynicka of Mountville, and his three sisters: Betty Overly of Lancaster, Dorothy Hartman of Millersville, and Margaret Gerber of Colorado. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Bare.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 from 10-11AM at the Charles F. Snyder Jr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA , with the Memorial Service to follow at 11AM.
