Virginia Kessler, 89, of Manheim passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2009. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Sylvester Slingerland. She was married to George G. Kessler who died in 1978. Previously she worked at Squibs as a secretary in New York.

Her hobbies included reading, puzzles, crocheting and spending time with her family.

Surviving is her daughter-in-law, Barbara Kessler, Landisville, four grandchildren: Kim Kessler, Lancaster, George Kessler, Manheim, Matthew Kessler, Manheim, Sarah DeJesus, Lititz, ten great grandchildren: Marc, Matthew, Katie, Brandon, Patrick, Zachary, Teresa, Jackson, Kaedyn, and Gracie.

She was preceded in death by her son, George F. Kessler Sr.
