IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Virginia
Brown
January 26, 2016
Virginia Brown, 79, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at Hamilton Arms Center. Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Daniels) Thomas. Virginia was a longtime employee of the Boys and Girls Club, Lancaster, where she taught arts and crafts, one of her greatest joys. Virginia also loved to bowl, was a wonderful cook and seamstress, a Den Mother for Cub Pack 43, and a woodworker, who even built a dog house for their dogs. More than anything, she was an awesome mother and grandmother, who devoted her life to her family. Virginia is survived by her former husband, Willard Brown, with whom she has maintained a close friendship. She is also survived by her children: David (husband of Patricia), Raymond (husband of Donna), Dwayne, and Dorothea Brown; 4 grandchildren: Qualaunda and Qurona Toney, Raleake Heilman, and Anthony Chase; 6 great-grandchildren: Raquan Burton, Quinneasha Gonzalez, David Jamaal Brown, Sakeiwa Toney, Avery Adams, and Quron Adams; 10 siblings: Robert L., Josh, Michael, Stanley, Richard, Charles, and Janet Thomas, Joyce Steele, Shirley Bowers, and Margie Loggins. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, many friends, and the children of the Boys and Girls Club of Lancaster. Funeral Services for Virginia will be held at 11AM, on Monday, February 1, 2016 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA 17602, with Rev. Alex Rivera officiating. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
