Vion V. Glanze transitioned into eternal rest on Monday, October 26, 2015, at 8:10pm. Ms. Glanze, of Brownstown, a career executive legal assistant and office manager, was 87, and she began her new journey peacefully, with the strength, courage, and dignity for which she was known by all. She enjoyed tennis both as an avid player and spectator, and pursued carpentry and automobile mechanics as hobbies. She is survived by three children, Maurice Eric (Ricky) Starks, Peggy Ann Starks, Dennis Jeffery Starks, a devoted sister, Veleta D'Santiago; nieces; and a host of grandchildren. Mom, we love you. You were the rock against which we all broke ourselves. And it's within that tradition that we shall all move forward. Mom will be laid to rest with a private graveside ceremony at Brownstown Evangelical Cemetery on Thursday, November 5, 2015, at 2:00PM.
