Obituary

Vincent G, Keller, retired executive of the former RCA Company, passed away on April I, 2009 at St. Anne's Retirement Community, Columbia, PA. He will be missed by all who crossed his path. Born May 5, 1914, in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of the late Harry L. and Gertrude Sipe Keller and the beloved husband of Anna Long Keller who preceded him in death on October 5, 2007.

Vincent was Manager of Industrial Engineering for The Color Picture Tube Operations at RCA's Lancaster plant when he retired in 1977 after 35 years of service. Prior to retirement Vincent spent 6 years in the international field which took him on assignments to England where he served as project engineer for a joint project with the Thorn Radio Valve of England to build a color picture tube plant. This assignment was then followed by a tour in Taiwan where he served as Vice President and Director of Operations of a joint project with the China Development Corp to build a black and white tube plant.

After retiring from RCA, Vincent did management consulting work for the International Executive Service Corp at operations in Ecuador, Costa Rica and Brazil. He also provided management consulting services to the Stanford Research Institute of Palo Alto, California for project work in Finland.

In 1952 he was President of the Industrial Management Club of Lancaster County and in 1960 he was President of the Eastern Pennsylvania Council of Industrial Management Clubs. Vincent was a musician and started playing the piano professionally at the age of 14. He had his own orchestra during the 1930's and early 1940's and was known as the Casa Moro Band.

He did volunteer work for St. Anne's Retirement Community and E. Hempfield Twp Meals on Wheels. He was a member of Saint Leo the Great Catholic Church, Rohrerstown, and was a member of Elks Lodge #134 where he served as a Trustee. Vincent also enjoyed fishing and playing bridge.

He is survived by two sons, Dr. James V, and his wife Constance of San Jose, CA and H. Lawrence and his wife Patricia of Lancaster, and a daughter, Christine A., wife of Donald House of Lancaster. He is also survived by seven grand children and ten great grandchildren.

Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Leo's Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Ave. Lancaster, on Monday, April 6, 2009, at 10:00 AM with Rev. Peter Hahn as celebrant. Visitation with the family will be from 9-10AM at the church. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman, PA.
