Vilma M. Geesey, 86, of Millersville, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2013 at the Masonic Village. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Viola (Coble) Wissler. Vilma was the wife of Earl E. Geesey, Jr. with whom she celebrated 64 years of marriage.

Vilma was a graduate of Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing, Philadelphia, PA as an R.N. She was president of her nursing class. After graduation, she worked at Hahnemann Hospital, and she had worked at Lancaster General Hospital on the pediatric floor. Vilma was a member of Church of the Apostles, and a former member of the ABWA-American Business Women Association. She loved Christmas and shopping at her favorite store, TJ Maxx. Vilma was a great mom, and she loved her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Earl, Vilma is survived by two children: Wendy G., wife of Russell R. Blake, of Millersville and Scott E. Geesey of Glen Burnie, MD; three grandchildren: Devon, Katlin and Savannah Blake; and a sister, Betty, wife of Milton Wallick, of Lititz.

Vilma is preceded in death by two children: Cindy Rende and Cathi M. Geesey; a grandson, Mario Russo; and a sister, Verna McCulley.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 N. George Street, Millersville, PA 17551. Family and friends will be received from 10-11AM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. Flowers will be appreciated.
