Verna I. Elser, 94, of Lancaster, passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2018. She was the wife of the late Clayton H. Elser who passed away in 2015. Born in Pequea, she was the daughter of the late Thaddeus H. and Blanche B. Miller Reese. Verna had been a homemaker and was a very dedicated member of Green Hill United Methodist Church, where she had played the organ for many years. She was a great cook, loved to play the piano, and had volunteered at the Water Street Rescue Mission with her late husband. Verna is survived by her sons: Tim married to Julia Elser of Lancaster and Ted married to Cali Elser of Marietta and by her 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren whom she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Morrison and her brother, Richard Reese. Friends will be received on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Green Hill United Methodist Church, 5801 River Rd., Conestoga, PA 17516 from 10:30-11AM, with the Funeral Service to follow at 11AM.
