Velma Martin, 94, formerly of N. Lime Street, Lancaster, died at Lancashire Hall on Thursday, November 12, 2009. She is survived by her husband of 74 years Ross C. Martin.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Fannie Neiss Foster. Velma graduated from the former Stevens High School. A homemaker, she was as a Gray Lady for the American Red Cross at Lancaster General Hospital, was active in the Ladies Auxiliary of the Cleft Palate Clinic and was an avid golfer at Conestoga Country Club.

Velma was preceded in death by her sister Helen Lowrey.

Services will be private with burial in East Petersburg Mennonite Cemetery. Please omit flowers. Contributions in Velma's memory may be made to the Lancaster Cleft Palate Clinic, 223 N.
