IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Todd D.
Prickett
July 12, 1957 – October 30, 2025
On Thursday, October 30, 2025, Todd David Prickett went home to be with his Lord Jesus Christ after a courageous battle with Lung Cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family and his devoted wife and business partner of 44 years, Debra S. (Simmons) Prickett.
Todd was the son of Clarence (CL), and Laura E. Prickett who predeceased him in death.
Born in Bristol, PA in 1957, then raised in Yardley, PA, he enjoyed homelife with his siblings, Sandra Thomas (Robert) of Newtown, PA and Craig Prickett (Salome) of Yardley, PA.
As a youth he attended church with his family in Langhorne and then continued to grow in his faith at Washington Crossing United Methodist Church. He shared the masterful gift of his trumpet, playing often during church. He played in various bands throughout his education at Pennsbury in Bucks County including the "Long Orange Line" Pennsbury High School Marching Band and the highly regarded Pennsbury Concert Jazz Band. Todd later played in the Tri-County Band in Feasterville where he enjoyed many concerts and parades.
Todd joined the family antique business, C.L. Prickett Antiques, in the late 70's. His father, C.L. Prickett, and brother Craig, immediately saw Todd's acumen for business. His passion for fine American furniture took shape, and by the mid-1980's Todd was a leader in the American antique world. Through Todd's extensive knowledge, ability to authenticate furniture, and his insurmountable work ethic, he guided clients in building some of the finest collections of American furniture. The team also had the opportunity to buy and restore some of our country's most treasured pieces including an 8' tall Charles Wilson Peale painting of George Washington at Princeton from 1779, a battle flag from the American Revolution and a truly exceptional Bombay desk.
Todd was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. He enjoyed tailgating while listening to the smooth sounds of Jimmy Buffet. He purchased a boat, "Margaritaville", in the 90's becoming a proficient captain who enjoyed taking his family to Tullytown Cove, on the Delaware River.
Todd loved to laugh and wanted to include others when he showed concerts, or old family movies in their movie room. He and Debbie loved spending time together at their home in Ocean City, NJ, as well as time at their cabin in Quakertown, PA.
The Red Caboose Motel has been a part of the Prickett story since 1989, when Todd and Debbie took their children to "sleep in a caboose." The charm of the property made an impact. On July 12, 2015 (Todd's birthday), eldest son Tyler called to let him know that Red Caboose Motel was for sale. Within days, Todd & Debbie, Tyler and wife Kat were in Lancaster County touring the property. The sad state of the property was no match for Todd's visionary mind and he knew the potential the property held. The decision was made that the four Pricketts would purchase the property and operate it…and the rest is history. Working together tirelessly and meticulously, and under Todd's diligent stewardship, the establishment was lovingly transformed into what is today known as Paradise Station featuring The Red Caboose Motel, Casey Jones' Restaurant and The Barn at Paradise Station.
Despite all of these earthly achievements, Todd's greatest was his faith journey. Todd attended LCBC Manheim and in 2023 was baptized, recommitting his Faith publicly and truly exhibiting a life changed by Christ. His Faith in God never wavered, and while he did not experience the earthly healing he so deeply desired, he experienced the spiritual healing of his heart, which is the greatest testimony one could ever have.
His love and legacy will live on through his wife Debbie and their children, Tyler Prickett, husband of Kat of Lancaster, Holly Stevens, wife of Joel of Morrisville, and Adam Prickett, husband of Jenna, of Parrish, FL. He was blessed to enjoy his grandchildren, Eli, Lucy, Sophia, Benjamin, Ella, Matthew, Connor and Tenley, who will miss him very much.
A Funeral Service celebrating Todd's life will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the Barn at Paradise Station, 312 Paradise Lane, Ronk's, PA 17572, beginning at 2:30. The family will welcome guests prior to the service, from 1 PM until the time of service.
A private committal service will take place Friday for immediate family. In lieu of flowers, please share Todd's vision and plan a trip to Paradise Station: make memories, spend time with your family, and be refreshed and blessed in a very special place.
