Thomas H. Heisey, a resident of Lititz, PA, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2024, at the age of 90. Born on April 2, 1934, in Manheim, PA, Thomas was the cherished son of Leroy and Mae Shelly Heisey of Manheim, PA.
Thomas proudly served his country after graduating from Manheim Central High School in 1952. He enlisted in the US Navy and served aboard the USS Antietam aircraft carrier as a Chief Petty Officer third class and Boatswain's Mate from 1952 to 1956. After his honorable service, Thomas built a rewarding career as an insurance agent with Prudential, where he dedicated many years to assisting clients with their insurance needs.
Thomas had a deep passion for the outdoors, often enjoying pheasant and deer hunting with his friends. He was also an avid reader with a keen interest in local history, particularly the Civil War at Gettysburg, PA. Additionally, he was a devoted fan of football and baseball, following his favorite teams with enthusiasm.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Dr. Allyson Heisey of Spotsylvania, VA, as well as several nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly. Thomas was predeceased by his parents, Leroy and Mae Shelly Heisey, and his siblings: John Heisey, Betty (Heisey) Bricker, and Joanna (Heisey) Schlemm of Lancaster, PA; Barbara (Heisey) Perry of Brentwood, TN; Leroy Heisey and Donald Heisey of Fort Worth, TX; and Virginia (Heisey) Garner and Mary (Heisey) Bankes of Lebanon, PA.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543, on Monday, July 15, visitation will begin at 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM, with a Memorial Service beginning at 11:30 AM. Committal Services will follow at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Gary Sinise Foundation .
Thomas H. Heisey will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in peace.
