Therese Jackson, 91, of New Providence joined her Heavenly Father on June 4, 2024. She was the wife of the late Charles Jackson. Born in Astoria, Queens, NY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Charlotte (Kress) O'Rourke.
Therese had been a medical administrator in the New York area, working for several health organizations in her career. After her retirement, she and her husband moved to Lancaster where she worked at Lancaster General Hospital.
Therese was a loyal servant to God, first and foremost. She loved the church and sharing her messages of Jesus and the Holy Spirit with everyone she met. Therese was a member of St Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, was involved in the Pro Life movement, and was a devotee of Padre Pio.
She loved being a nan to her grandchildren, and loved all animals, particularly her dog, Rafie.
Therese is survived by her children: Charles J. Jackson of Copiague, NY, Philip Jackson, husband of Alyson of Claverack, NY, Gerard Jackson, husband of Loree of Lenox, GA, and Marie, wife of Richard Belgrod of New Holland, PA; her grandchildren Joseph Belgrod, husband of Victoria, Jason and Mariah Belgrod, Daniel, James and Christopher Jackson, and Carmine Rublowsky; and her step-grandchildren: Bridget Cassells and Chelsea Pappalardo; and by her sister, Charlotte McWeeney of Copiague, NY. Therese was preceded in death by her son, Thomas P. Jackson.
Friends will be received on Sunday, June 9, 2024 from 6-8PM at the Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA.
