IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Theresa M.
Cammerata
September 1, 1942 – May 29, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Theresa "Terri" Magristro Cammerata, on May 29, 2024. Terri was the loving wife of J. Donald Cammerata for 56 years and the mother of Jeffrey Donald Cammerata of Medford Lakes, NJ. Terri was born on September 1, 1942, in Johnstown, PA to the late Phillip and Mary Magistro.
Terri was born to be a teacher; it was her lifelong passion. She began teaching at Penn Manor as a reading teacher and finished her career at the School District of Lancaster. She continued as a reading teacher, transitioned to a teacher of gifted students and finally as an instruction facilitator where she bestowed her teaching methods to other teachers. She enrolled her gifted students into Odyssey of the Mind state competition, where they earned 2nd place. Throughout her various positions she earned the highest respect of her students, colleagues, supervisors, and superintendents.
She is survived by her loving husband, son, a nephew, Craig Stofko husband of Sondra and their daughters Katie and Jenna, as well as countless friends. She will be greatly missed by all. Her family is very appreciative of all the supportive services and care extended to Terri through her years at Homestead Village. She was preceded in passing by her parents and sisters, Kathy Stofko and Carmella Magistro.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 441 N. George St. Millersville, PA 17551, from 2 PM – 4 PM. A prayer service will be held following the viewing. During the last years of her life, she suffered several debilitating illnesses including blindness. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Pennsylvania Association for the Blind .
She was a good person; may God take her in his arms.
