Theodore Edward "Ted" Malek, 78, of Columbia, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025. Born in Jamaica, NY, he was the son of the late Alexander and Helen (Omylaniuk) Malek. He was married to Carol Ann Malek for 50 years until her passing in 2024.

Ted was a graduate of Saint Francis Preparatory School in Brooklyn, NY. He worked as a supervisor, ultimately retiring from Johnson & Johnson, Lititz, in 2004. He was also a proud veteran of the US Army, serving honorably during Vietnam. In his younger years, Ted was an extremely talented bowler. He also enjoyed playing golf and traveling to different courses with his friends. Ted also loved visiting casinos and he would travel with his siblings for new experiences. Most of all, Ted cherished spending time with his grandchildren and was very involved in their lives.

Ted is survived by his son, Brian Malek, (Jennifer Paul-Malek), 2 grandchildren: Addison (15) and Parker (10) Malek; 2 brothers: Stanley Malek (Cathy) and Edward Malek; and beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 10 AM at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. The family will receive guests beginning at 9 AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions in Ted's name to Tunnels to Towers Foundation .
