Thelma M. Consylman, 91, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Oak Leaf Manor North in Landisville. She was the wife of the late Luther J. Consylman, who passed away in 2000. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late William and Dorothy Reber Coldren. Thelma had worked as the secretary to the Dean of Students at Franklin and Marshall College for 24 years. She had previously worked at Armstrong and at JP McCaskey High School. Thelma enjoyed polka dancing, and was a talented seamstress, knitter, and crocheter. She loved to travel, enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and had walked with the Twalkers at Park City. She was a selfless person and mother, who loved her sons, putting them before all else in her life. She is survived by her sons: Thomas L. married to Joyce Consylman of Peach Bottom and Robert A. Consylman of Bausman; her stepsons Samuel married to Mary Consylman of Lancaster and Eugene married to Shirley Consylman of Ephrata; her 2 grandchildren Steve and Ryan, her 5 great grandchildren and her 4 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her companion of many years, Irvin Ditzler of East Petersburg and by her sisters Dorothy Weaver of Millersville and Mary Kirchner of Strasburg. She was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Ron, William, and Robert. Friends will be received on Thursday, August 13, 2015 from 9-10AM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA, with the Funeral Service to follow at 10AM. Interment in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery.
