Sylvia Mary (Maurer) Snyder, 79 of Columbia, passed away on Tuesday, October 24th, 2023. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late George and Pauline (Kise) Maurer.

Sylvia attended St. Joseph school of nursing and obtained Licensed Practicing Nurse (LPN). While in nursing school, she met her husband of 58 years, Edward J Snyder Sr., who was a patient. She worked at Whitehall nursing home until staying at home to lovingly raise their three sons.

Sylvia is survived by two sons, Edward J. Snyder, Jr., of Fallsington, PA, and Steven (Marla) Snyder of Springfield, VA; three grandsons, Joseph, Sean and Ethan; and one brother George. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Snyder Sr. and son, Michael Snyder.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Sylvia's final resting place will be with her husband and son at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery.
