Obituary

Sylvia "Sib" May (Flowers) Landis, 83, of Lancaster, died Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Lancaster General Hospital.

Born in Lancaster, she was the wife of Arlen L. Landis of Lancaster, and the daughter of the late Ray G. and Ida M. (Musser) Flowers.

Sylvia worked for many years as an assembler for Dental EZ until her retirement.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved to travel and attend Penn State football games.

Of the Christian faith, she was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit # 194, Rising Sun, MD.

In addition to her husband of 60 years, she is survived by a daughter, Terri Rhoads and her husband Dennis of Willow Street; a son, Michael R. Landis and his wife Lynda of Denver; 4 grandchildren: Mandy, Amanda, Peter, and Ali; 6 great-grandchildren; a brother, Theodore H. Flowers and his wife Pat of Sinking Spring; and a sister, Joycelyn Darrenkamp and her husband John of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey A. Landis; her stepfather, Paul Wiggins; and 3 brothers: Ray J., Robert S., and Eugene M. Flowers.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Charles F. Snyder, Jr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz with Rev. Mark Thiboldeaux officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family.
