Obituary

Susan G. Adams (Bassi), 63, wife, mother, beloved Grammy, Certified Reflexologist, tole painter, crafter & loyal friend. Susan "Sue" Adams, age 63, of Lititz, Pennsylvania, originally from Monrovia, California, died peacefully on February 27th 2018 surrounded by her dear family, including John B. Adams, her husband of 43 years. Sue was born in Monrovia, California, to Duane L. and Lois June Weller Bassi. The day Susie was born was the happiest day of their lives. Susan graduated from Monrovia High School and had fond memories from her drill team days as a pep cat. Sue studied the arts at Citrus Community College and Brigham Young University. She met John in 1974 and quickly fell in love and was married in the Manti LDS Temple on October 1st. Sue's most honorable calling in life was that of Mommy, with the first of four children born only 9 months after she and John wed. While her children were young, Sue was busy on the PTA/PTO. In her younger years, she was an Assistant Girl Scout Leader. She also served as a youth leader on many church assignments. Susan had a huge heart and loved to serve her family and friends. She enjoyed helping her reflexology clients. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and an active member of the Lititz Ward. Susan was the best Grammy to her 9 grandchildren. She would host annual two week long "Grammy Camps" for her grandchildren. Grammy camps had a theme, song, scripture, activities, and days of learning together. The attention and memories Sue gave her family will forever bless their lives. Susan found much joy in learning and teaching family history and indexing for the LDS Church. She found great satisfaction in her work doing this very important service. She was also a member of the Relief Society organization. Susan is survived by her husband, John B. Adams, and their four children, Amy J. (Kevin) Gillman of West Jordan, Utah; Emily M. (Josh) Afutiti of Lititz, Pennsylvania; Amanda K. (Justin) Cracroft of Denver, Colorado; Brandon D. (Rachelle) Adams of Lititz, Pennsylvania; and nine grandchildren, Enoch, Caitlin, Micah, William, Ada, Isaac, Brinley, Kai, and Leo. Susan had the best laugh that would make others laugh… Susan loved her Savior, Jesus Christ and lived a faithful life representing His name.

A Celebration of Susan's Life will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 10AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1136 Sunwood Lane, Lancaster, PA 17601.
