Stephen L. Autrey, 68, of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly on December 24, 2023. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Leonard and Mary Jane (Hambright) Autrey.

Among other things, Stephen will be remembered for having a kind and generous personality. He was wonderful at making others feel special and unique. Being a master carpenter for over 38 years, Stephen took great pride in his craft and was well known for his skill and talent, working for Clair Brothers in the earlier days of the company. He was also a proud veteran, serving in the Navy during the Vietnam conflict. He adored spending time with his 11 grandchildren, as well as canoeing, watching The History Channel, and socializing with friends.

Stephen is survived by his 4 daughters: Monica Knarr (Dustin), Beth Allen (Matt), Maureen Giannini, and Laura Autrey; 11 grandchildren: Alex, Mason, Leah, Amelia, Preston, Winnie, Bella, Joey, Ava, Winston, and Bronson; 3 siblings: William Autrey, Michael Autrey (Ronna), and Mary Lynn Smith; and his former spouse and dear friend, Mary Sue (Autrey) Meck. He was predeceased by his brother, Patrick.

Family and friends are invited to gather from 10-11 AM on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. A memorial service will begin at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
