Our beloved mother and grandmother, Stephanie Louise (Deen) Byrd, 79, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026, in Lancaster, Pa.

Stephanie was born on August 26, 1946, to the late Frances (Young) and Gilbert Deen in Lancaster, Pa.  She graduated from McCaskey High School and went on to attend Duke University and St. Luke's School of Nursing.  For over 36 years, Stephanie worked as a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery at Lancaster General and Women and Babies Hospital.

She is survived by son, Andrew T. Byrd of Mt. Joy, Pa; daughter, Alexs Byrd Standridge of Schuylkill Haven, Pa; grandchildren Zachary Byrd, Aaliyah Byrd, Harrison Standridge, and Westin Standridge; brother, Peter Deen.

Stephanie's remains will be scattered amongst the seashells of Sanibel Island, Florida.
