Stanley Powell, 73, of New Providence died Tuesday, January 26, 2010 after a lengthy illness. Born in Palmyra, TN, he was the son of the late Oscar and Carrie Hunt Powell.

He worked 30 1/2 years at High Steel Structures as a yard truck loader and over the road driver.

He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors.

Surviving are two sons: Stanley Ray Powell, New Providence, Jerry Dwayne Powell, DE, three daughters: Mary Elizabeth West, East Stroudsburg, Rebecca Ann Hurst and Sandra Renee Fisher both of Lancaster, 15 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and two sisters; Erma Haliburton, and Linda Simmons.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King Street, Lancaster, Pa on Friday, January 29, 2010 at 6:00PM. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Friday from 5-6PM. To send online condolences, please visit, SnyderFuneralHome.com
