Sokhen Tes, 80, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025. Born in Khet Kandel, Cambodia, she was the daughter of the late Phan Tes and Phuong Cheuong. She shared 43 years of marriage with her late husband, Sanith Kong, who preceded her in death in 2016.

Sokhen came to the United States in 1981, beginning a new chapter marked by resilience, determination, and an unwavering commitment to her family. She was known for her strong work ethic and ambition, doing whatever was necessary to build a stable life for herself and those she loved. Resourceful and intellectually curious, she taught herself four languages—an achievement that reflected both her adaptability and entrepreneurship.

A generous and welcoming presence, Sokhen and her husband opened their home to multiple families over the years. Within the local Cambodian community, she was embraced as a social butterfly and a gifted matchmaker, known for bringing people together and fostering meaningful connections. She found joy in gardening and sewing, and she cherished the opportunity to express herself through the beautiful clothing and jewelry she loved to wear.

Sokhen is survived by her siblings—Sitha Tes, Sokmen Tes, and Sarin Khim—as well as six beloved nieces and nephews: Paula Enn, Sokmala Chy, Bonnie Chy, Sereirotana Sarin, Sereiroth Sarin, and Tony In. Her family, near and far, was central to her life, and she loved and cared deeply for them.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 2:00 to 3:30 PM at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sokhen's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association .
