Shirley V. "Shubby" (Murr) Boose, 75, of Willow Street, died Monday, March 8, 2015 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy.

Born in Lancaster, she is survived by her former husband, Paul "Chub" Boose of Willow Street. She was the daughter of the late George H. and Pauline (Shurr) Murr.

Shubby loved spending time with her family, playing cards, and crocheting. Known for her green thumb, her home was always filled with thriving plants and flowers.

In addition to her former husband, Shirley is survived by her 5 children: Deborah A. Sapp wife of Elliot Sapp, of Frackville, Gary L. Boose, Frackville; Jeffrey L. Boose husband of Sandra, Lititz; Kimberly J. Henry of Willow Street; and P. Scott Boose of Lancaster; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a brother, George H. Murr of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Murr, and a great-grandson, Antonio "P-Nut" Cortes.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Friday, March 13, 2015 at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 N. George St, Millersville with Reverend J. Calvin Wenger officiating. Friends will be received from 1 to 2:30 prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Conestoga Memorial Park.
