Shirley L. Kadow, 84, of West Hempfield TWP, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2016 at St. Anne's Retirement Community. She was born in Chicago, IL to the late Frances Owen and Harriet Brinker Reed. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Fred J. Kadow.

She was a graduate of Western Michigan University and worked as a Medical Technician. Shirley loved fishing with her husband and family, and Christmas was a favorite time for her. She was a loving mother and amazing grandmother.

Shirley is survived by her children: Joan, wife of Greg Reichardt, with whom she lived, John Kadow, husband of Kathy of Wallingford, CT and Jim Kadow, husband of Mona of Oxford, PA; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and her brother Owen Reed, husband of Rita of Willowbrook, IL.
