Sherie D. (Hartman) Keeney, 71, of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Hospice and Community Care Center of Mount Joy.

Born in Lebanon County, she was the daughter of the late Marvin W. and Ernestine M. (Koller) Hartman.

She was employed for 15 years by Western Electric in Reading, and for 20 years by Kellog's in Lancaster, where she was Vice President of the Grain Millers Union.

Sherie was a 1959 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School.

She was a member of Elias Lutheran Church in Newmanstown.

She enjoyed playing cards, and especially loved her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by a son, Jeffrey A. Keeney of Bethel; three brothers:  Kerry Hartman of Clearwater, FL; William Hartman of New Tripoli, and James Hartman of Allentown; a sister, Deborah Wagner of Allentown; four grandchildren:  Kevin Wetzel, Mandi Knepp, and Gianna and Ryan Keeney; a great-grandson, Paetyn Knepp; and a great-granddaughter, Ava Wetzel.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA with Rev. Ken Keller officiating.  Burial will follow in Millcreek Memorial Cemetery, Newmanstown.  The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service, from 9 to 11 AM, at the funeral home.
