IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sheila Teresa
Craig Peregrin
November 17, 2024
Sheila Teresa Craig Peregrin passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, at her home on November 17, 2024, just eight days shy of her 70th birthday.
Born in Brickerville and raised in Lititz, Sheila attended Our Mother of Perpetual Help School before graduating from Lancaster Catholic High School. She went on to earn a degree in Psychology from Immaculata College, where she was also a proud member of the Show Choir.
A devout Catholic, Sheila was an active parishioner at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, where she served in several key roles, including Choir Director, member of the choir, and Chair of the Liturgy Committee.
Throughout her life, Sheila's professional career spanned several fields. As a young woman, she worked as a paralegal at the law office of Michael J. Minney, an Art and Music teacher at St. Anthony of Padua Parish School, and a member of the credit department at Maxima Technologies and Systems. She retired in 2019 after 20 years of service at the Mulberry Street School, Intensive Day Treatment Program run by Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Harrisburg.
Despite her many professional accomplishments, Sheila considered her most cherished role to be that of a stay-at-home mother. Her family was the center of her life, and she took great joy in raising her children and supporting them in every way.
An avid crafter, Sheila had been a member of the Schaffertown Distelfink. She enjoyed various forms of creative expression, including counted cross-stitch, quilting, painting, and ceramics. Sheila was particularly proud of her 2015 trip to Ireland, where she realized her lifelong dream of bringing her husband and children to the country she had always wanted to visit.
Sheila is survived by her devoted husband of 23 years, Robert Peregrin, her children Allison Diane Kane (née Mohler), wife to James Francis Kane of East Hampton, CT, and Rebecca Ann Musselman (née Mohler), wife to Andrew Tyler Musselman of Lancaster, PA, her grandchildren Lucy Jane Musselman and Roman Lawrence Keating Kane, and her siblings Dennis John Craig, Jr., husband of Ruth Suter Craig, of Eagles Mere, PA; Lisa Craig Burland, wife of William Henry Burland, IV, of Quakertown, PA; and Robert Stanley Craig, husband of Barbara Huber Craig, of Frederick, MD. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews Dennis Craig, III and Mallory Craig; Kelly Burland Goldenberg and Katie Burland Poremba; and Robert Craig, Jr., Eileen Craig, and Gillian Craig. Sheila was predeceased by her first grandson Theodore John Kane and by her nephew William Burland. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 11AM at St John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 E. Delp Rd., Lancaster, PA 17601. Friends will be received by Sheila's family on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 6-8PM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA , and again on Saturday at St John Neumann Catholic Church from 10-11AM.
