Obituary

Sharon Jane Howard, 66, of Lititz, passed away on May 9, 2016 at the Heart of Lancaster Medical Center. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Eugene & Betty (Garner) Harmes. Sharon was the wife of the late David Howard. Together, Sharon & David would have celebrated 45 years of marriage this month, May 22.

She was a graduate of McCaskey High School.

Sharon, along with her husband, organized softball leagues for over 28 years. They were the founders of the Pennsylvania Shooting Stars Jr. Olympic Fast Pitch League. She was a board member & a past president of Lanco League & the Warwick Youth Softball Association.

Sharon coached Warwick Midget Cheerleading.

Sharon & David were avid Penn State fans. She enjoyed bowling & loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Sharon Howard often referred to as "Short Stop" or "Little Woman", had a huge heart & will be remembered for her generosity, selflessness & willingness to help others.

Surviving is a son, Chad Howard, husband of Amanda; a daughter, Danielle Howard, companion of Chad Kramer; 2 grandchildren: August Mason & Jonah Shewbridge; and 3 brothers: Gene, James & Steve Harmes.

Family & Friends are respectfully invited to Celebrate Sharon's Life at 3 PM on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Friends will be received from 2-3 PM prior to service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Warwick Youth Girls Softball Association, checks payable to WYGSA, 137 Chestnut St., Lititz, PA 17543.
