IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sharon Albino
Davila
April 6, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sharon Albino Davila, 55, of Lancaster, and formerly of New York. Following a brief illness, Sharon entered rest on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, she was the beloved daughter of the late Maria I. Rosario. Sharon's strength and determination was admired by many. She was kind, generous and a free spirit who lived her life with the motto "you only live once". Sharon was a "New Yorker" through and through. She loved supporting the Yankees and never passed up genuine New York pizza or Chinese food. She loved going to the beach and riding roller coasters, especially at Coney Island, and often listened to her favorite singer, Elvis Presley. Red was her favorite color, and she enjoyed letting everyone know it. She adored her family and animals and was especially fond of cats. Sharon will be forever loved and greatly missed by all her family, friends and everyone who came to know her. A loving mother, sister, daughter, and aunt, Sharon is survived by many: husband Gilberto Davila, 2 children: Benito "Benny" Torres and Rebecca Cruz; 14 siblings: Nelly, David, Robert, Jose, Mildred, William (Evelyn), Daisy, Jocelyn (Geno), Carolyn (Tom), Gibson, Jorell (Daisy), Lucy (Sean), Douglas (Linda), and Diane (Alvin); 4 grandchildren: Christopher, Denise, Rylan, and Owen; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother Maria (2003) and son Frankie Hernandez (2021). Friends and family are invited to gather for a viewing on Friday, April 22 from 6-8 PM at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St., Lancaster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 23 at 1 PM at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church, 425 S Duke St., Lancaster, with a viewing time to start at 12 PM. Interment will follow at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
