Obituary

SFC Calvin Lee Creswell, US Army, Retired, 55, of Wilkes-Barre and formerly of Lancaster, died Saturday, December 5, 2015, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre. He was born in Lancaster to the late Francis Willard and Erla Mae (Good) Creswell.

Cal attended Hempfield High School and then enlisted in the US army, serving 34 years. He served two tours in Iraq and also served in Kuwait, Bosnia and Germany, as a Petroleum Supply Specialist. The Army was his life. Cal was a member of the V.F.W.

A Born again Christian, Cal loved his family in his own special way. He took a wonderful trip to Camel Beach with his daughter Ginny, where "Bird is the Word". Calvin was very big into football, he played midget football in East Petersburg and was a diehard Cowboys fan.

Cal is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Creswell of East Petersburg and Virginia "Ginny" Creswell of New Holland; grandson Killian and two brothers, James "Jim" John Creswell, husband of Betty of Ephrata and Paul David Creswell of Lancaster.

A graveside service officiated by Rev. Mark Ammerman, with Military Honors accorded, will take place 11:30 am, Thursday, December 10, 2015, at Conestoga Memorial Park, 95 Second Lock Road, Lancaster, PA.
