Sergio Torres Hernandez, 91, of Lancaster, PA passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Paula-Comacho Suarez to whom he was married for 70 years.

Born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico he was a son of the late Zoilo Torres Bareto and Gregoria Hernandez. Sergio was a self-employed farmer in Puerto Rico and enjoyed fishing and boxing. He was a member of San Juan Bautista Catholic Church.

In addition to his wife Paula he is survived by his children Maria Malpica and husband Jorge and Daniel Torres, Sr. and companion Angelica Zayas both of Lancaster, PA, Milda I. Ortiz and Elvira Alvarado wife of Humberto both of Massachusettes, Virgen I. Torres of Lancaster, PA, Nelson Torres husband of Maria of Quarryville, PA, Magda L. Torres wife of Otilio Lopez of Puerto Rico, Alix wife of Chris Smucker of Lancaster, PA and Daniel Torres, Jr. husband of Sinia of Columbia, PA; 29 grandchildren; 61 great grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren; one brother Antolino Torres of Puerto Rico. He was preceded in death by a son Edibelto Torres and one sister Edualda Torres.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 28, 2016 at 7pm from San Juan Bautista Catholic Church, 425 S. Duke St. Lancaster, PA 17602. Interment will be held in Puerto Rico. A viewing will be held from 4-7pm at the Church.
