Sean B. Strine, 38, of Lititz died unexpectedly Tuesday night, December 7, 2010 at The Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center. Born in Danville, PA, he was the son of Harry C. and Mary Ann Bolig Strine of Bloomsburg.
Sean was married to Kimberly A. Lapham Strine for 14 years.
Sean was Process Improvement Engineer for Armstrong World Industries for 7 years. He was a 1990 valedictorian graduate of Bloomsburg Area High School, a 1994 graduate of Penn State with a BS degree in aerospace engineering and a master's degree in 1996 in Mechanical Engineering, and a graduate from the University of Michigan in 2002 with an MBA.
He was a member of St. Peter 's Evangelical Lutheran Church where he taught Sunday School. Sean earned an Eagle Scout Award and belonged to the order of the Arrow. He was the Cub Master of Pack 93 at Reidenbaugh Elementary School. He was a 32nd degree Mason.
Sean played saxophone in the Penn State Blue Band and served as Treasurer and President. He was also on the Board of Directors of the Alumni Blue Band Association.
Sean was an avid Penn State Football Fan and loved skiing, camping and canoeing with family and friends.
Surviving besides his wife, Kim, and parents, he has two sons: Christian and Connor, at home; a brother, Neil , husband of Danielle Strine, Bloomsburg; two nieces; and an Aunt Ruth Young, N.C.
A Funeral Service will be held at St. Peter 's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 10 Delp Road, Lancaster, PA on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 4:00 PM with the Rev. Craig Ross officiating. Friends may pay their respects to the family at the church from 2-4:00 PM on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Sean's memory to Cub Scout Pack 93 at Reidenbaugh Elementary School, 1001 Buckwalter Road, Lititz, PA 17543 or Penn State Blue Band, Service Road, State College, PA 16802-6601.
