Sean T. Riedel, 39, of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2008 with his family by his side. Born December 23, 1968, in Lancaster, he was the son of Jana F. (Sweigart) Filling, wife of Frank F. III of Mountville, and George S. Riedel.

He was a mental health advisor and an accounts payable manager for several area businesses. Sean was a 1987 graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School, where he received the Paul Yeager Award. He was the past president of the Future Business Leaders of America, and a member of the National Honor Society.  He earned an associates degree in Business Administration from Franklin and Marshall College.

Sean was a member of the Columbus Home Association. Sean was a kind and compassionate person.  He had a great sense of humor, and especially enjoyed debating politics.  He also enjoyed traveling, camping, cooking, and his beloved pets.  Sean had a great respect and admiration of the United States Military and its veterans.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his best friend and companion, Jack E. McCoy.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Warren and Betty Sweigart, and Walter and Marie Zercher.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2008 at 2 PM at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 441 N. George St., Millersville, PA with the Rev. Jody E. Swart officiating.  Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Please omit flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sean's memory to Sean T.
