IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Scott M.
Frailey
March 11, 2012
Scott Michael Frailey, 40, of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Hospice of Lancaster County Essa Flory Center after a courageous battle with melanoma. Born in Lancaster on February 3, 1972, he was the son of Henry E. Frailey, of Lancaster, and the late Mary Anne (Gohr) Frailey who passed away in 1992. Scott is survived by his dear and loving wife, Jennifer (Healey) Frailey, whom he referred to as "my Jenny". They were married on June 15, 1996 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, which is home to Scott's beloved alma mater Wake Forest University.
Scott's education began at Buchanan Elementary School, where he met many of his lifelong friends. As a boy, Scott was a proud member of Boy Scout Troop 99. Many of his fondest memories were of the numerous excursions with the troop. He was a 1990 graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School, and a 1994 cum laude graduate of Wake Forest. While there, he was a dedicated member of the Screamin' Demons, the student fan club of the basketball team. He continued to follow and support Wake Forest throughout his life.
He was the Lancaster franchise owner and operator of the family business, Midas Automotive on Columbia Avenue and Lincoln Highway East. With Midas, he achieved the honor of owning two AAA approved facilities. He was a member of the Midas Owners Association, BNI Lancaster Chapter Two, and of Lancaster Country Club. He was a member and grew up attending Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. He kept that tradition with his wife and children.
He enjoyed playing golf, traveling, spending time with his family and friends, and relaxing on the beaches of Seabrook Island, South Carolina. He was a weekly reader of The New Yorker and The Economist. He loved politics and was always interested in discussing international business and relations. He was a craft beer enthusiast and took great pride in maintaining his 1986 classic BMW 535i .
Scott was a loving husband and father, a dedicated son, and a loyal friend. He will be remembered for many outstanding qualities, but above all, his kind and gentle spirit.
In addition to his wife Jenny, he is survived by their two sons at home, Tate M. and Pierce M. Frailey. He is also survived by his father Henry Frailey and his in-laws, Deborah M. and Chris S. Healey, of Lancaster.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Celebrate Scott's Life with a Memorial Service at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church 31 S.
