Saverio Lupica, 85, died at his West Lampeter Twp. home on Friday, July 8, 2016. He was born in Gasperina, Italy, the son of the late Salvatore and Filomena (Spadea) Lupica.

He worked as a stone mason for Grant Smith Company. Saverio was a member of the former Italian America Citizen Club and a former member and Vice President of the Santo Innocenzo Association. He enjoyed gardening and attended St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.

Surviving Saverio are two sisters, Marianna Lombardo of Lancaster and Teresa Clerico of Italy, brother Vincenzo Lupica of Italy, nephews Dominic and Salvatore Lombardo, both of Lancaster, niece Mary Begelfer of York, several nieces and nephews in Italy and his longtime companion Joyce E. Hartenstine of Pequea.

A viewing will take place from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, followed by a mass at 12:30 pm celebrated by Rev. Daniel P. O'Brien, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 13, 2016.
