Saul "DJ Saul Fresh" Rivera Jr., 46, of Lancaster, passed away at Lancaster General Hospital, Friday, Sept. 23. Born in Lancaster, Saul was the son of Eugenia Rivera and step-son of Santiago Deroncele. Saul was a loyal Philadelphia Eagles fan, loved to DJ, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, who will greatly miss him. Saul is survived by his siblings, Maria A. Marin and Guadalupe Rivera; and a host of nieces and nephews: Regina Green, Barry Cook, II, Jose Chico, Christian Chico, Latiesha Rivera, Latia Rivera, Johnathon Rivera, Eugenia Rivera, Savanna Rivera, and Tiffany Rivera. He also leaves behind his best friend, John Washington. Saul was preceded in death by two siblings: Maria Rivera and Santos E. Rivera. A Viewing will be held from 5-8PM, Wednesday, Sept. 28 at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King St., Lancaster. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM, Sept. 29, at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church, 425 S. Duke St., Lancaster, PA 17602. A Viewing will be held at the church from 10-11AM. Interment will follow at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
