Sarida Figueroa, 58, of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Lancaster General Hospital.

Born in Brooklyn, NY she was a daughter of the late Eusebio and Rosario (Soto) Nieves.

A woman of faith and strong will she treated everyone with love and respect. She had a large family whom she adored. Known for her musical talents and joking ways she had the ability to light up any room she walked into. She was a doting grandmother who took great pleasure in spoiling her grandchildren. Before taking an early retirement she was employed with the Housing Development Corp for 17 years as an office administrator.

She is survived by her daughters: Damaris Huber and husband, David of Lancaster, Jasmin Lugo and husband, Francisco of Lancaster; sons: Raymond Rodriguez and wife Veronica of Lancaster, Sergio Ayber of Gainesville, FL; sisters: Annette Alverio and husband, Luis of Ocala, FL, Carmen Pulley of Micanopy, FL, Isabel Nieves of Gainesville, FL; and five grandchildren: Kasandra, Francisco, Alexsandra, Jeremiah and Sarah. She was preceded in death by her two brothers: Eusebio Nieves, Jr. and Eddie Nieves.

There will be a viewing on Thursday, December 27 from 6 to 8 pm and on Friday, December 28 from 10-11 am at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. There will be a service on Friday, December 28 at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Landis Valley Mennonite Cemetery, 2420 Kissel Hill Rd, Lancaster, PA 17601.
