Sarah A. Horting, 96, of Lancaster, entered her heavenly home on May 22, 2025, at Trillium Place where she resided for the last 10 years. She was the wife of the late Arthur L. Horting who died in 2004.

The daughter of Sarah Helen Long and Herbert Leo Shaub, she was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.

A graduate of the J.P. McCaskey High School, class of 1946, she was the class agent from 1996 until 2014. She graduated from the Licensed Practical Nursing Program in 1975 and was a private duty nurse. She was a medical secretary for the late William A. Atlee, M.D. She also worked for Horting Printing, her family's printing business, from 1980-1990.

She was associated with The Ladies Auxiliary to the Lafayette Fire Company for many years and was a member of the Lancaster Treasure Hunters Club.

She is survived by two sons, Robert E. Horting, husband of Audrey C. Horting, of Lancaster, PA, and Arthur L. Horting Jr., of Phoenix, AZ, two grandsons, Brett A., of Czech Republic, and Bevan J., of Phoenix, AZ, 4 great grandchildren, and 4 step great-grandchildren. Sarah is preceded in death by her sister Helen T. Snyder, and brothers Melvin, John and Robert.

A graveside service will be held at Riverview Burial Park, 1100 S. Duke St, Lancaster, PA 17603, on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.
