Santos Nieves, 61, of Lancaster, PA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 17, 2020 after a short battle with Covid19. Born in Comerio, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late David Nieves and of Carmela Centeno. He was a loving father of his daughter, Lizbeth Nieves of Fajardo, Puerto Rico and he was the proud grandfather of twin boys, Christian Daniel and Elias Joel.

Santos was a laborer in farm fields and factories throughout his life. He enjoyed fishing, listening and dancing to salsa music, cooking (rice with pigeon peas and pork were his specialty dishes). Most of all, Santos loved spending time with his family, friends and helping others with whatever he could. He would put a smile on his nurses' faces and any stranger he met, with his fun, loving, personality and his endless jokes. No matter what hardships Santos faced, he always displayed an attitude of gratitude and true love for life. He will be missed by his family and the MANY, MANY, MANY friends he left behind.

Santos is survived by his loving mother, Carmela, his daughter Lizbeth from his previous marriage to Luisa Laureano, two grandchildren, his three brothers; Perfecto, Jose, Pedro and by his sisters; Maria, Ada, Elba, Raquel, Ana and Migdalia. He was preceded in death by his brother, Orlandito.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the family will be having a private celebration of life for Santos.
