Santo S. Arcudi, 91, of Manheim Township, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 27, 2013 at Hospice Mount Joy. Born in Reggio di Calabria, Italy he was the son of the late Carmelo and Annunziata (Manti) Arcudi. Sammy is survived by his wife, Paulene (Snyder) Arcudi. They both met while working at the Hubley Toy Company. He retired after 37 years with Armstrong World Industries as Stencil Maker in the Inlaid SPCD. He was a WWII Veteran and served his country with the US Army translating Italian to English. Sammy was a former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and recently a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church where he served as an usher. Sammy enjoyed roller skating, bocce ball, bowling, gardening, playing the lottery, outdoor sports, swimming, volunteering at the Lebanon VA Hospital, vacationing to the Jersey Shore with his family, and most of all spending any time he could with his family. His memberships included the Italian American Club, the golf team at Armstrong, American Legion Lititz Post #56, and the VFW Lititz Post #1463. Surviving in addition to his wife, Paulene, are two children, son, Anthony D. Arcudi, husband of P. Michelle, of Lititz, daughter, Jeanette M. Arcudi, of Lititz, four grandchildren, Brian, Mark, Jason, and Elizabeth, three great grandchildren, Penny Linn, Jonathan, and Chloe, a sister, Stella Trenta, of Lancashire Hall, and a brother, Anthony T. Arcudi, of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by Annunziato Thomas Arcudi. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 11AM at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory 441 N. George St. Millersville, PA 17551 with the Rev. Jean Christman officiating. A Viewing will be held from 9-11AM at the funeral home. Entombment will be in St. Joseph New Catholic Mausoleum with Military Honors.
