Santa Bomberger of Lancaster, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Hospice & Community Care, Lancaster. Born in Bronx, NY she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Carmelina (Anselmo) Serra. She was married to the late Richard H. Bomberger for 39 years, who passed away in 1999.

Santa had worked as a school secretary for the St. Anthony School for many years and for the Sunshine Corners Daycare in Strasburg, PA. She was a member of the AMVETS and American Legion and enjoyed dancing. She also loved flower gardens, house plants and enjoyed taking care of the babies at the daycare. Santa was very sociable and took great pleasure in people and living life to the fullest. She was independent, energetic, kind, strong willed and had a great sense of humor.

She is survived by her children: A son, Cory J. LaBrasca, of Lancaster, a daughter, Holly R. LaBrasca-Shipe, wife of Richard, and beloved granddaughter, Cecilia Shipe, of New Providence. Also surviving is a sister, Mildred Moyer, of Lititz. She was preceded in death by her sister, Savaria Trimmer.

A Funeral Service will be at 11AM on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA with Rev. Daniel C. Mitzel officiating. A viewing will be held on Friday from 7-9PM from the funeral home and again on Saturday from 10-11AM at the funeral home. Interment in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
