Sandra Lea Schaefer, 65, of Mountville, passed away unexpectedly at Lancaster General Hospital on Sunday, April 28, 2019. Born in Lewistown, she was the daughter of Shirley J. Boop, of New Berlin, PA and the late Robert L. Wert. Sandra was a graduate of Mifflinburg Area High School and had worked as a Liability Technician for 26 years for the Lancaster County Behavioral Health and Developmental Services. She enjoyed spending her evenings reading a good book, sewing, or watching movies. She looked forward to each spring as she loved spending time in her garden. Sandra will be missed by her son, Nathan L. Schreffler, husband of Crystal, of Lancaster; her granddaughter, Myla Cate; four siblings: Robert K. Wert, husband of Arlene, of Mifflinburg, Beverly Eppley, wife of Robert, of Middleburg, William E. Wert, husband of Yijin, of Harrisburg, and Tammy E. Morgan, wife of Perce, of Harrisburg; and her brother-in-law, Jay Walter, of New Berlin. She was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia A. Walter. Services for Sandra will be private and at the convenience of the family. She will be interred with her family in New Berlin Cemetery.
