Sandra B. Perry, 35, of Lancaster, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on October 2, 1973. Mrs. Perry was a daughter of Angel L. and Minerva (Acosta) Baldrich. She is survived by her husband Dennis B. Perry of Lancaster. They celebrated eleven years of marriage on April 11, 2009.
Sandra was a member of Bright Side Baptist Church, where she was actively involved with the youth choir and the Monday Night Youth Department. She was employed by the School District of Lancaster for nine years; mostly working at Edward Hand Middle School. Sandra enjoyed being with her children, reading and teaching the bible, working with kids, and painting. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband and family, and listening to gospel music.
In addition to her husband and parents, Sandra is survived by her three children: Brian D., Isiah L. and Briana D. Perry all of Lancaster; a brother, Angel Luis Baldrich, husband of Nildren of El Paso, TX; a sister, Celines Baldrich of Lancaster; grandmother, Maria Matos of Lancaster; in-laws, Charles Sr., and Floretta Richardson, of Lancaster and Damani Kazembe of Palo Alto, CA; three sisters-in-law: Kim Douglas of Norristown, Stacy M., wife of Marvin Kelley of Lancaster, and Jodie E. Richardson of Lancaster; three brothers-in-law: Charles C. Jr., husband of Miriam Richardson of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Nathaniel E. Perry of Lancaster, and Tahir Kazembe of Atlanta, GA; and the extended Velazquez family. Sandra also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and very close friends.
Funeral Services will take place on Monday, September 14, 2009, at Bright Side Baptist Church, 515 Hershey Ave, Lancaster, PA 17603, at 11:00 AM with Reverend Louis A. Butcher, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Mellinger's Mennonite Cemetery, East Lampeter Twp. A viewing will be held at the church from 9-11 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bright Side Baptist Church Youth Department at the above address. Arrangements by the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home Inc.
