Sandi L. Dunsen, 69, of Lancaster, passed away at Lancaster General Hospital on Friday, January 23, 2015, after a lengthy illness. Born in Philadelphia and raised in Peach Bottom, she was the only daughter of the late James and Violet (Hart) Boynes.

A graduate of Solanco High School, Sandi attended the University of Pennsylvania. She worked 35 years as state employee, 23 years for the employment office and 12 years at the Department of Welfare, retiring in December of 2003. She enjoyed traveling, reading, knittingand driving for the Amish.

Surviving are her son D. Keith Dunsen and his wife Tina (Johnson) Dunsen, 3 brothers:Joseph Boynes, husband of Beverly, Harold Boynes, husband of Patricia and Harvey Boynes; 2 grandchildren: Jada Dunsen and J. Devon Johnson; great-granddaughter Jaeliyaha Johnson, a host of nieces and nephews and her longtime friend Robert Martinez.

Sandi's family will greet friends 10-11 AM, followed by the memorial service at 11 AM, on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543, with Rev. Roland P. Forbes, Jr. officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ebenezer Baptist Church, 701 N. Lime St., Lancaster, PA 17602.
