Sally Cay Fogarty, 66, of Lancaster, PA, passed away unexpectedly on December 29, 2025. Born to parents Elwood and Elizabeth Neyer, she grew up in Manheim, PA, where she formed lifelong friendships and proud memories of her early years.
Sally was a forward for the 1976 state championship Manheim Central field hockey team and part of the Manheim Central High School graduating class of 1977. Sally carried the determination and teamwork she learned on the field throughout her life. Following high school, she attended Central Penn College to become a travel agent.
Sally built a dedicated career over many years in Lancaster County. She worked at Manheim Auto Auction and previously devoted many years to Lancaster Mitsubishi, formerly Lancaster Lincoln Mercury. In younger years, she also worked at a travel agency located in the historic Watt & Shand building in downtown Lancaster, where she enjoyed helping others plan meaningful journeys.
Above all, Sally’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was her children. She loved Steven and Ashley with her whole heart and took joy in watching them grow over the years.
Sally found happiness in simple and meaningful pleasures, such as spending time with her children, feeling the peace of the beach, and caring for her pets and plants. Every summer, she cherished mother-daughter beach trips where they made it a point to go out dancing to live music together.
She is survived by her spouse, Jim Fogarty, with whom she recently celebrated 10 years of marriage; her son, Steven Mogle and spouse Kaitlynn Mogle; her daughter, Ashley Mogle and spouse Garrett Beers, and granddaughter Ellie Beers. She is preceded in death by her brothers, David Neyer and Charles Neyer; her mother, E. Elizabeth Neyer (Moore); and her father, Elwood Neyer.
Sally’s life was one of perseverance, devotion, and love. While her passing leaves an immeasurable void, those who knew her will remember her strength and humor, her loyalty to her family, and the deep love she carried for her children. May those who knew and loved her find comfort in her memory, and may her spirit rest in peace.
Friends will be received by Sally’s family on Sunday, March 1, 2026 from 2-3PM at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA, with the Memorial Service to follow at 3pm.
