Ruth J. Treanor, 91, of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly September 22, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Harlan IA, Ruth was the daughter of the late Arthur and Della (Larsen) Sorensen. She was married to the late Charles F. Treanor for 52 years prior to his death in 1995. Ruth was a talented artist and award-winning craftswoman. She was wholly devoted to her family, reveling in their achievements. She enjoyed watching sports, especially the 76ers, and loved her rose garden, watching butterflies, and her dog, Gabby. She was strong in her faith in the Lord. Ruth will be sorely missed by her daughters, Sue Treanor, Pam, wife of Dan McCauley, and Wendy, wife of Michael Barton, grandchildren, Cody McCauley, Caitlin, wife of Corey MacGuinness, Samantha, wife of Daniel Jones, and Abigail, wife of Alec Scott, and the apple of her eye, great-grandson, Aslan Scott. She joins in Heaven her parents, husband Chuck, daughter Becky, two brothers and one sister. A Celebration of Ruth's life was held at Trumbauer Memorial Cemetery, Leola, PA.
