Ruth Naomi Kreider, 80, of Lancaster, died Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Conestoga, she was the daughter of the late Amos Landis and Mabel (Bachman) Kreider. Ruth was employed for several years by Armstrong Cork Company before starting her family. She assisted her former husband in their business, Havercamp's Office Equipment before finishing her career as an Administrative Assistant at Stevens School of Technology. She was a 1953 graduate of Manor High School. A kind, gentle, caring and sociable woman, Ruth loved to spend time with her family. She enjoyed vacations in Ocean City, MD, and looked forward to breakfasts and lunches with her many friends. Ruth is survived by her daughters, Barbara Havercamp of Millersville and Beth Schoelkopf and her husband Greg of Lancaster; 3 grandchildren: Max, Annie, and Simon Schoelkopf; and a sister, Anna Hess of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers and a sister. A drop-in gathering for family and friends will be held from 11 AM to 2 PM Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Barbara's home.
